Our Mental Health is an online resource focused on shattering the stigmas that come with mental health disorders and providing information on how to cope with them. Through advice and insights from healthcare professionals, and stories from people living with mental disorders, this space will provide credible lifestyle education, information and treatment options.
Our vision
To create a South Africa where the mental wellbeing of individuals is valued, appreciated and cared for. Keeping wellbeing top of mind, we aim to inform, educate and give hope to those living with mental disorders. In addition, this serves as a source of information to assist people looking after friends or family diagnosed with mental disorders.
Our values
Our Mental Health is focused on reducing the stigma of mental health through the following values. We believe that,
- people living with mental disorders should be treated with dignity, respect and equality.
- everyone is worthy of belonging in society.
- people living with mental disorders must be given opportunities.
- those with mental disorders should be given the support they need to live a fulfilled life.
- people with mental disorders should be given information and hope.
